Come see an incredible 40-foot-tall mural and hear an insightful discussion on the impact of public art!

Saturday, July 5 - 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Marblehead Arts Association, 8 Hooper Street

Celebrate the power of public art at a special evening with Beyond Walls, a nonprofit

organization that brings world-class art and artists to local communities. With over 220 murals across New England—including 82 in Lynn alone—Beyond Walls has transformed city streets into vibrant outdoor galleries.

For the Festival, Beyond Walls will install a striking 40’ x 36’ canvas featuring the mural "Doña Patria" by Dominican artist Angurria, on the Marblehead Arts Association’s exterior. Originally painted in Lynn in 2017, the work celebrates Dominican identity, everyday beauty, and cultural pride.

Al Wilson, founder and executive director of Beyond Walls, will host an inspiring night of storytelling and conversation. The program begins at 7:00 pm with a viewing of the mural, followed by a panel of muralists discussing public art’s ability to educate, inspire, and galvanize communities.

Free and open to all!
