Marblehead has many talented students that want to pursue the arts as a profession, and the Marblehead Festival of Arts offers an opportunity to help fund those dreams. We are proud to once again offer three $3000 scholarships to deserving high school senior students who reside or attend school in Marblehead. These scholarships are presented to deserving high school seniors pursuing higher education in visual or performing arts, crafts, music, or film production.
The Marblehead Festival of Arts Scholarship Committee co-chairs, Janet and Ron Lamkin, along with committee members, Susan j Schrader and Anthony Silva, carry out the criteria established by the Festival board in selecting winning candidates as follows: financial need, general academic excellence, art achievements, arts-related and other activities both within school as well as the community, honors and special citations received, and a student’s intended vocation.
