About E.B. Goodale

E.B. Goodale, author, illustrator, and designer, grew up in the Boston area, where she earned a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. While in college, she worked at the original Curious George store in Harvard Square, which she credits with not only her education on the amazing breadth of children’s books, but also her friendships with talented children’s lit people.

E.B. fell in love with printmaking in college and worked for many years as a press operator in several letterpress studios. This work ultimately influenced her illustration style and process.

The picture book Windows (2017), written by Julia Denos, was E.B.’s foray into children's publishing receiving an Ezra Jack Keats Illustrator Honor, and was an ALSC Notable Book. She has since illustrated a number of other picture books, and is the author/illustrator of The Moon Remembers, Under the Lilacs, and Also. She creates from her home in Massachusetts where she lives with her family and a black cat named Green. Learn more about this delightful artist at ebgoodale.com.
