Obscure Notation

Obscure Notation is a jazz blues fusion quartet that performs music with  a focus on ECM and other jazz artists from the 1960s through 90’s as  well as original compositions. The group has played together for over  five years with Mike Tetreault on guitar. Mike has a Bachelor of Music  from Berklee College of Music.  He has taught guitar and played in  various music groups. Steve Tapper is on bass, flute, sax & EWI.  Steve holds a Bachelor of Music from Berklee and a graduate degree in  Modern American Music Flute Performance from Longy School at Bard  College. He’s been teaching music for many years and has played in  several groups as well as a solo performer. Harry Castleman is on the  drums. Harry studied at Berklee. He has played in bands in Boston,  Colorado and England. Shira Moss is a gifted percussionist and holds a  BFA from Philadelphia College of Art. Shira has played in several music  groups and is an active percussion instructor. Obscure Notation performs  at venues throughout the New England area.
