About the Event
Mixed media is a juried exhibit of original artwork in two or more media in a single composition, using media such as paint, collage, drawing, image transfer, assemblage, papier-mache’, textiles, wax, and found objectives. Pieces may be displayed as two-or three-dimensional surfaces.

2026 Judge:
Grace Healy is a mixed media artist based in Marblehead,
Massachusetts. She earned her BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode
Island School of Design in 1999. Before attending RISD, Grace built
a strong foundation in photography, textile design, and
painting—disciplines that continue to shape her visual language
today.
Her creative journey at RISD led her to discover her true love for
printmaking. It was there that she learned to combine mediums and
techniques in unconventional ways, igniting a lifelong passion. In
1998, she received the prestigious, JW Hodge Ritchie Award for
Excellence in Printmaking. More recently, in 2022, she was honored
with the Best in Show award at the Marblehead Festival of Arts.
Since graduating from RISD, Grace has focused exclusively on
mixed media, dedicating the past 25 years to mastering the craft. This
year, she brings her depth of experience and artistic insight to the
festival, offering invaluable perspective and recognition to our
exhibitors.
