Each year the Marblehead Festival of Arts offers three scholarships to promote art education. 

The Marblehead Festival of Arts and the Warwick Foundation Scholarship offer $3,000 each for graduating seniors seeking higher education in the arts. The third award, the Milton Bloom Student Art Scholarship is for students in grades 7 through 11 who either reside, or attend school, in Marblehead.

The Scholarship Committee is now reviewing the applications for the 2018 awards. Stay tuned for the announcement of winners.

Funds for the Bloom Art Scholarship are provided by his family in memory of Mr. Bloom’s lifelong support of the arts. Selection of the recipient of the $500 scholarship shall be based on talent, motivation, and accomplishments. Applicants will have at least two years experience excelling in their chosen area. Eligible to apply are students in grades 7 through 11 who either reside, or attend school, in Marblehead and whose interests are in visual and performing arts as well as creative writing. A student are encouraged, to apply each year he or she is eligible. This year’s award is to be used for a program scheduled between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.

The Festival’s Art Scholarship is open to seniors who live and/or attend school in Marblehead. The Warwick Foundation Scholarship is open only to a senior graduating from Marblehead High School. Both $3,000 awards base selection on financial need; general academics; intended vocation; honors and citations received; plus other activities, both arts and non-arts related within the school and the community.
