Festival Scholarship Applications Open for 2018



Apply now for the three 2018 scholarships awarded by the Festival to promote art education. This year’s deadline is April 16, 2018 to apply for two scholarships for graduating seniors and one scholarship for grades 7 through 11.

The Marblehead Festival of Arts and the Warwick Foundation Scholarship offer $3,000 each for graduating seniors seeking higher education in the arts. The third award, the Milton Bloom Student Art Scholarship offers $500 for attendance at an art program.

The Festival’s Art Scholarship is open to seniors who live and/or attend school in Marblehead. The Warwick Foundation Scholarship is open only to a senior graduating from Marblehead High School. Both $3,000 awards base selection on financial need; general academics; intended vocation; honors and citations received; plus other activities, both arts and non-arts related within the school and the community. 

Funds for the Bloom Art Scholarship are provided by his family in memory of Mr. Bloom’s lifelong support of the arts. Selection of the recipient of the $500 scholarship shall be based on talent, motivation, and accomplishments. Applicants will have at least two years’ experience excelling in their chosen area. Eligible to apply are students in grades 7 through 11 who either reside, or attend school, in Marblehead and whose interests are in visual and performing arts as well as creative writing. Student are encouraged, to apply each year they are eligible. This year’s award is to be used for a program scheduled between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.
