Marblehead Festival of Arts and The Marblehead Arts Association announce the second annual ArtsFusion gala for Saturday May 2 from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Guests in party finery will gather at Abbot Hall to eat, drink, dance and participate in both a silent and fast-paced live auction.
“Last year’s event was such a success that we can’t wait to host it again,” said MFoA event co-chair Kristen Nyberg. “This is a unique evening—a chance to party with fellow art lovers, take home fabulous art, and support the local creative community.”
The party starts with passed and stationary hors d’oeuvres, libations, and interactive experiences while guests peruse the silent auction items. Following the close of the silent auction, a live auction featuring selected artists from the North Shore and beyond will begin. The band goes into full swing once the auction ends, with dancing and dessert to round out the night.
Emily Cantor, MAA president and event co-chair, noted that ArtsFusion is the perfect celebration for both organizations. “Supporting events like ArtsFusion is a great way for art lovers in our community to make sure that both the Festival and the MAA flourish. Every summer the Festival brings people from all over New England to Marblehead for a wonderful celebration of Art and the MAA has been the year-round home base for artists to learn and exhibit for over 90 years,” she said.
Tickets are $55 per person. They will be on sale online and in local stores at the beginning of April, as well as at the door the evening of the event.
