During the auction, the public will be able to see a work in progress, as Robin Samilijan will be one of the Festival’s wet auction artists.
Robin’s work is inspired by nature but strongly displays complexity and her internal urges through the vibrant use of color. Spattered paint with contrast is used to create key visual elements in most of her work. Her “Tao” is to convey a calm and inner peace within each of her paintings.
Ms. Samiljan is involved in assorted art organizations in New England. Robin is the Art Chairperson at the Marblehead Arts Association, and she teaches a watercolor workshop at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly. She is an award-winning watercolorist, and Children’s Hospital in Boston recently purchased two of her works for its permanent collection.
Robin graduated with a BA in Fine Arts/Art History from Vanderbilt University. Her work can be seen in the Swampscott, Marblehead, Lynn, and Cambridge Art Association shows; as well as in local galleries, regional shows, and national juried shows. She can be contacted at robin@FineArtbyRobin.com. |
