Artisans' Marketplace

Artisans' Marketplace during Festival 2002.
Buoys hand painted by artist members of the
Marblehead Arts Association
This arts and crafts show hosts some of the finest local artists as well as artists from all over New England. Items vary and often include beautiful, original, handmade jewelry; hand painted furniture; paintings; photographs; and more. Festival attendees get to meet the artists, learn how they create their masterpieces, and have the opportunity to take home one or more of these fabulous items.

All of the artisans go through a juried acceptance procedure in order to display their items. For information on becoming a participating artisan, see Artists' Info.

In 2005, Artisans' Marketplace was held July 3 and July 4 on the grounds of Abbot Hall.

Participating Art Organizations

This year, Artisans’ Marketplace featured two booths by local art organizations. The Marblehead Arts Association sold hand painted buoys created by artist members. They were all one of a kind—some whimsical and fun, and some true works of art. All proceeds went directly to supporting the Arts Association.

Marblehead Little Theater had a table and promoted its upcoming performance of Peter Pan. Cast members were present in full costume, and tickets for the performance were available for purchase.
