The Marblehead Festival of Arts is presenting a Film Retrospective that will show the best of films from Summer and Winter Short Film Festivals from years past. This red carpet event will be held Wednesday, March 25th at the Palmer Restaurant and Warwick Cinema on Pleasant Street in Marblehead, as part of on-going fund raising events that support the local Festival heritage.
“The films are selected from the Best of Show and People’s Choice winners going back to the beginning of the Film Festival in 2000”, says Mike Evers, co-chair of the Film Festival. He continues, “These works reflect the independent spirit that local Festival filmgoers have come to enjoy over the years.” This unique 15 year retrospective will entertain with a variety of genres including comedy, drama, documentary, animation, music video and experimental/performance films.
The evening will begin with a buffet dinner at the Palmer Restaurant, which starts at 6pm. The one-hour Film Retrospective will follow. Tickets to the fundraiser are $50 per person.
Ticket reservations can be made at the Festival website, MarbleheadFestival.org where you can pay online or purchased at Arnould Gallery, Washington St, Marblehead. There will be a cash bar and door prizes. Come walk the red carpet and have an evening of great food, fun and films.
