Workshop The Hybrid Memoir: One Writer’s Process.
Emerson will explain the hybrid memoir and will lead writing exercises and explore possible sources, disciplines, organization of material as well as the changing world of publishing that memoir writers need to consider.
Anne Emerson’s first career was in university administration, at Boston University and later Harvard. In 1998 she went into museum administration and development, heading the Boston Museum Project for a decade. Since 2008 she has been developing her skills as a painter of landscapes and portraits, and as a writer. In 2015 her first book, a hybrid memoir, Letters from Erastus: Field Notes on Grace, was published by Levellers Press. She and her husband, Peter Altman, live in Jamaica Plain.
