Thanks for your support of the Film Festival Activities in the 2016 Marblehead Festival of Arts 51st celebration.
Short Film Festival Premiere
We are already meeting to begin planning for next year. We have set the date for the 2017 Short Film Festival Premiere. The Premiere screening will be Monday, July 3rd @ 9:00 pm at Crocker Park. There will be a full additional screening on July 4th at 10:30 am in the Unitarian Universalist Church on 28 Mugford Street.
The Marblehead Festival of Arts Short Film Festival is an outdoor festival that is screened at Crocker Park during the Festival weekend. The selected films may also be screened at the Festival’s Winter Film Festival in February of the following year.
Film Festival works are intended to show the many ways that film and video can be used as an art form to inform and express. They are not commercial films of the sort that you can find in your standard multiplex. Although some of these works can certainly be enjoyed by children, not all of the films may be understood by them. Parents should review the lineup and decide if the films are appropriate for their younger children.
