Award Winning Photojournalist Peter Muller to Host Talk

“Since 2005 I have worked to document the individual consequences of war, poverty and social unrest.

Marblehead native, Pete Muller, will be speaking on his work on Sunday, March 22 from 3-5 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church (28 Mugford Street) in Marblehead.  Mr. Muller, who resides in Nairobi Kenya, has recently won a World Press Photography Award for his work covering the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone and Liberia.  He is also a contributing photographer to the New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic and a variety of human rights organizations.  The event is free and open to the public.Pete Muller in Africa

 “One of the goals of the Marblehead Festival of the Arts is to present arts-related educational events”, says Maggie Smist, Vice President of Exhibits for the Festival. “As we celebrate our 50th Festival this year, we are honored to be able to host this very talented and accomplished photojournalist.”
