Jennifer Groeber and Margaret Sweet
Jennifer Groeber is an artist and writer living on the North Shore of Boston. She graduated from Yale University with a BA in Painting/Printmaking and received an MFA from Maryland Institute
College of Art. She has shown her work in select group shows as well as solo shows across the East Coast, including at the Wenham Museum and as part of the Essex Arts Collaborative. You can find her work at the Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport. Whether working in painting, collage, or printmaking, Groeber’s art focuses on identity and the friction that exists between the surface of our experiences and our complex pasts. Her paintings have also been selected to be included in the catalogue exhibition New American Paintings. You can find her making art, writing about the passage of time, and telling stories about parenting her four kids at www.jennifergroeber.wordpress.com.
Margaret Sweet studied Fine Arts and Art History at Skidmore College and Painting and Printmaking at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has been painting in oils for 25 years. Her work can be seen in local exhibits around Cape Ann, at Sloane Merrill Gallery in Boston, and at Taste Gallery in Jamestown, RI. Currently, Margaret’s work explores the abstract drama and expressiveness of the natural world.
