Judging Art for the MFoA
All the art exhibits in the Marblehead Festival of Arts are judged. It’s just one of the many moving parts that happens behind the scenes every year to produce a high quality display of art that reflects the importance of art in the fabric of the local communities and yet recognizes the developmental nature of the individual skills of the artists. All of the exhibits, except Senior Art and, Youth and Students are juried. Many good art works are not accepted for display for a variety of reasons including lack of display space, size of the art, and the opinion of the judges as to technique, subject matter and current level of artistic skill.
We hope you enjoy this year’s art, find it uplifting and motivating that part of the artist in all of us.
