Plans are underway for this year’s Marblehead Festival of Arts and local artists are encouraged to submit their artistic works. “Our exhibits are one of the most popular parts of the Festival”, explains Maggie Smist, Chair of the Exhibits. She continues, “It is exciting to see the work of so many talented artists from throughout Essex County”.
Entries can include drawings, paintings, crafts, printmaking, photography, sculpture and mixed media. As in previous years there are special categories for senior art as well as youth and student art. The Festival has grown tremendously over the years and now has over 800 entries to the many exhibits. Artistic works have thousands of viewers over the 4-day event. Submitted works in each category are juried and selected for exhibition with many prizes and awards. Entry details and information about each exhibit category can be found on our Exhibits page.
Drop-off dates for entries are:
Saturday May 16 from 9 AM – 12 PM
Thursday May 21 from 6 PM – 8 PM
There is a $10 fee for all entries with no fee for youth and students. More information on registration and the NEW and EASY on-line “register and pay” feature is available online.
